American Craft Beer Fest Brings the Best Beer

The art of craft beer has exploded in America in the past decade. Avid beer drinkers, with a taste for high quality and complex designs, are forsaking the traditional domestic beers in favor of microbrews, small batches of craft beer, and independent breweries, who are pushing the boundaries of yeast and hops to create new, unique, and refreshing tastes. Everyone, it seems, wants to make beer; what started out as a hobby in a cellar or garage has quickly spawned a new philosophy of how beer should be made and enjoyed. Simple, watery beer will not do.

Throughout the year, and especially in the autumn, craft beer festivals take place across the United States. For the most part, these craft festivals are concentrated in the Northeast and the Pacific Northwest, where craft breweries are varied and ubiquitous. Small breweries showcase their new lagers, stouts, and India pale ales, as well as their unique specialty beers and anniversary editions. Belgium styled beers and organic beers have gained traction over the years, and can now be found in restaurants and pubs. Craft beer has gone mainstream, but these festivals provide a great setting and outlet to try new and cutting edge beers.Related Article : The Day: Craft Beer, Food Co-Op and Park(ing) Day
